Food culture is a very important part of national culture, which is why local foods need to be cherished and promoted both at home and abroad. For ECAC, promoting and popularizing Estonian food is an activity that it holds dear. ECAC has spearheaded an initiative to create a visual identity and homepage for Estonian food at www.eestitoit.ee. The objective of the website is to identify, with the help of consumers, the most typical foods and ingredients in Estonian cuisine and to make them better known, thus promoting the domestic foodstuff industry and agricultural production and shaping the international image of Estonian cuisine.
